Velveteen Queen are a Swedish rock band who have quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting young acts in the modern rock scene. Drawing on the grit, swagger and anthemic power of classic influences, they channel the spirit of bands like Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses and The Black Crowes into a sound that feels both familiar and undeniably fresh. Since their debut in 2022, the band have built a reputation for explosive live performances, undeniable stage presence and songs with instantly memorable hooks.
Their rise has been rapid. From performances at major Swedish festivals including Sweden Rock Festival to sharing stages with artists such as Alice Cooper, Judas Priest and Megadeth, Velveteen Queen have proven themselves equally at home in front of festival crowds and packed club audiences. A critically praised debut album, Consequence of the City, further cemented their momentum, alongside international releases and touring across Europe.
That momentum continues with The Greater Good, released on September 18th via Silver Lining Music. Their sophomore album and most ambitious statement yet, it channels grit, swagger and anthemic power into a bold and contemporary sound, bringing the strut of the Sunset Strip’s glory days with a fresh, modern energy. Produced by Sören Andersen and led by tracks such as ‘The Greater Good’, the record is packed with undeniable positive energy and rebel attitude, confidently delivering for a new generation of young rock fans.
