ABOUT DOKKEN

Dokken are legendary American rockers formed in Los Angeles in 1978, a band whose songs helped define an era and whose impact has never really faded. With hit singles that charted on the Billboard Hot 100 - including ‘Alone Again’, ‘In My Dreams’ and ‘Burning Like a Flame’ - and more than 10 million albums sold worldwide, Dokken’s catalogue sits right in the sweet spot between heavy metal power and timeless hard rock melody. Their live album Beast From The East was even nominated for the inaugural Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 1989.

That history meets the present with Heaven Comes Down, Dokken’s 13th studio album, released on 27 October 2023 via Silver Lining Music. An unapologetic celebration of everything Dokken do best, the record sees the band working through a wiser and richer lens - exchanging the urban heat of the Sunset Strip for the warm wilderness of New Mexico, and bringing their timeless convertible Ferrari rock’n’roll power to the table with some key modifications along the creative path.

Working with engineer Bill Palmer over the course of a year at his studio in Santa Fe, the Dokken flavours remain as potent as ever, sprinkled with some desert seasoning that gives Heaven Comes Down a richness hitherto unseen on a Dokken album. If you want to rock - sink your teeth into ‘Fugitive’. If you want ballads, head on over to ‘I’ll Never Give Up’. From the smooth gears of ‘Just Like A Rose’ to the defining, life-moment biography of ‘Santa Fe’, it’s a record that delivers the goods on both sides of the fence.
