ABOUT HEAVY PETTIN

Heavy Pettin’ roared back to life with a revitalised line-up and the same fire that made them one of Scotland’s most exciting hard rock exports. Reuniting in recent years after a long hiatus, the band have reignited their classic spirit — combining anthemic hooks, high-energy performances and a renewed passion for melodic heavy rock.

Formed in Glasgow in the early 1980s, Heavy Pettin’ rose quickly through the ranks of the UK rock scene with their mix of power, melody and attitude. Their debut album Lettin’ Loose (1983), produced by Queen’s Brian May, delivered arena-ready riffs and soaring choruses that won them tours alongside Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake and Kiss, and a loyal following across Europe and the U.S.

Follow-up albums Rock Ain’t Dead and Big Bang carried their melodic edge into the mid-80s, cementing their reputation for hard-hitting, hook-driven rock. Today, Heavy Pettin’ continue to celebrate that legacy while pushing forward with new material and explosive live shows — proof that classic British hard rock still hits just as hard as ever. Their latest full-length studio album, Rock Generation, was released to critical acclaim on 24 October 2025
